A big decision has been taken this time amid impenetrable security arrangements for the Shri Amarnath Yatra which is going to start from July 3. Alert in Jammu and Kashmir

After the Pahalgam attack, this system is being implemented for the first time to strengthen the security of Baba Barfani’s devotees coming from all over the country. After the incidents of infiltration from the India-Pakistan international border this year too, and encounters with terrorists in Saniyal and then Ambe Naal, no laxity is being shown regarding security.

The distance from the IB to the highway and sensitive areas have already been made into strict checkpoints. Along with the deployment of additional security forces, checkpoints have been set up on every link road entering the highway. At present, the agencies have not got hold of anything but it cannot be taken lightly. Therefore, the Director General of Police has also issued clear instructions to the security forces to take immediate action as soon as they receive information.

Not only the international border and highways, but the security agencies are also keeping a close watch on the hilly areas. Where a few days ago, a terrorist was killed by the security forces in Bihali of Udhampur. On the other hand, special attention is also being paid to prevent the devotees coming for Shri Amarnath Yatra from being diverted to the link routes under any circumstances.
