Now reservation policy will be implemented in Supreme Court also, SC-ST category will be able to get jobs

The country’s highest court, the Supreme Court, has taken a big decision. Now there will be reservation in the recruitment of staff for SC and ST in the Supreme Court. Let us tell you that this is the first time that the court has taken such a decision. The tenure of Chief Justice BR Gavai was changed. Let us tell you that he is the second Chief Justice of India who comes from the Scheduled Caste. The rule has been implemented from 23 June. The information about this big decision was released by the Registrar of the Supreme Court on 24 June.
Now reservation policy is also implemented in the Supreme Court
If understood in simple language, this order means that if any employee sees any mistake in the reservation list, then he can tell the Registrar of the Recruitment Department. Reservation has been imposed for different positions.
Which includes Senior Personal Assistant, Assistant Librarian, Junior Court Assistant, Junior Court Assistant cum Junior Programmer, Junior Court Attendant and Chamber Attendant. According to this, 15 percent posts will be reserved for Scheduled Caste i.e. SC category and 7.5 percent posts will be reserved for Scheduled Tribe i.e. ST category.
Notice issued on 24 June
On June 24, the official notice was issued by the Registrar of the Supreme Court. In which it was written that, “As per the instructions of the competent authority, everyone is informed that the model reservation roster and register have been uploaded. This is effective from 23.06.2025. It is further informed that if any employee finds any mistake or deficiency in the roster or register, then they can inform the Registrar (Recruitment) about it.”
Reservation in direct recruitment in Supreme Court for the first time
Let us tell you that till now there was no reservation in direct recruitment in the Supreme Court. This is the first time this decision has been taken. CJI B.R. Gavai has an important role in this decision. This will directly benefit the people of SC and ST community. Now they will also be given jobs in the Supreme Court. This decision will bring diversity among the people working in the Supreme Court.
