The Excise Department will actively participate in tree plantation on Harela on July 16. Excise Commissioner Anuradha Pal has instructed the District Excise Officers to plant as many trees as possible in the vacant spaces of their offices to make the concept of one tree equal to 10 sons fruitful on the occasion of Harela. For this, a massive campaign will be run every Tuesday till Harela. In this sequence, a massive tree plantation campaign was run in the premises of the District Excise Officer Office Dehradun on Tuesday.
District Excise Officer KP Singh and his team pledged to protect the environment by planting saplings of different species. Those who planted saplings included Excise Inspector Prerna Bisht, Excise Inspector Gajendra Bhandari, Chief Administrative Officer Anil Dhyani etc.
