According to the forecast issued by the Director of the Meteorological Department, Vikram Singh, there is a possibility of rain at some places in the capital Dehradun, Tehri, Champawat and Bageshwar districts on July 3. In view of which the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert.
Movement from Sonprayag to Gaurikund closed
Let us tell you that due to the rain in the past few days, the road leading to Kedarnath Dham has been completely blocked due to debris and stones coming towards Gaurikund beyond the small parking area. Apart from this, the road is also blocked near Munkatiya, due to which movement from Sonprayag to Gaurikund is completely closed.
Travellers will be allowed to move only after the route opens
The Kedarnath Yatra has been temporarily halted due to the route being completely blocked at both places. Work is on to make the route smooth. The administration has stopped the devotees who reached Sonprayag at safe places. Travellers will be allowed to move only after the route opens.
