An accident took place during the Amarnath Yatra in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Deputy Commissioner DEO Ramban said that the last vehicle of the Pahalgam convoy lost control at Chandrakot Langar site and collided with the vehicles parked there. Four vehicles were damaged in this collision and more than thirty passengers were injured. However, everyone was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
Administration already present at the spot
According to the information, the district administration was already present at the spot and the injured were immediately rushed to the District Hospital Ramban. After primary treatment, all the pilgrims were sent to their next stop in other vehicles. The administration immediately took the situation under control and carried out relief and rescue work rapidly.
At present, it has been told that the pilgrims were sent to District Hospital Ramban for treatment where all were treated. Thankfully, no one has suffered very serious injuries. There was no need to refer anyone. The police also started an investigation into the matter and security has been tightened on the Yatra route.

It is known that the Jammu and Kashmir administration made strong arrangements for the security of Amarnath Yatra 2025. Joint mock drills and landslide exercises were conducted on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. It included Army CRPF, Jammu and Kashmir Police and JKSDRF. Deployment of about 581 Central Armed Police Force CAPF companies on the Yatra route, use of drones, CCTV, and face recognition devices. Not only this, RFID cards were made mandatory and the route has been declared a no-fly zone.
