Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Asked to play Ludo in a joking manner, dispute escalated… killed friend by hitting him on the head with a hammer

On Friday, near the Doon Club, Shibran Sahni, a mason from Indira Nagar, killed his friend Santosh Sahu, a resident of Karanpur, by hitting him on the head with a hammer. Earlier, there was a dispute between the two, in which Shibran was injured. After mediation, the matter was settled and Santosh started taking Shibran to the hospital on his scooter for dressing.
Meanwhile, the murderer took out a hammer from his bag and hit Santosh on the head several times one after the other. The police have arrested Shibran. SSP Ajay Singh said that Santosh Sahu used to set up a vegetable cart near the Doon Club. He was originally from Jharkhand. Whereas, Shibran is a resident of Bihar.
Both of them were friends for a long time. Both were standing near the Doon Club at around four o’clock on Friday evening. It was rainy season, so neither Santosh’s vegetables were being sold nor Shibran had got work. Some other people were also present there.
Shibran got furious
Meanwhile, Santosh jokingly asked Shibran to play Ludo. There were some things in this which Shibran did not like and he got furious. He started quarreling with Santosh. Many people also joined this quarrel. Santosh himself handled the matter and calmed the atmosphere. But, in the mediation and pulling, Shibran got injured on his face due to Santosh’s bracelet.
On this, Shibran asked him to go to the hospital. Santosh immediately made Shibran sit on his scooter and started towards the hospital. They had just reached near Rozgar Tiraha when Shibran took out a hammer from his bag and hit Santosh on the head. Both of them fell down along with the scooter. Then Shibran got up and hit Santosh on the head several times one after the other. The local people took Santosh to Coronation Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
In this case, Santosh’s brother Rahul Sahu has filed a murder case against Shibran in Dalanwala police station. The police have arrested the accused. The hammer used in the murder has also been recovered from him. Shibran will be produced in court on Saturday.
