The process of Panchayat elections is in full swing and the last date for filing nominations is ending today i.e. July 5. According to the revised notification issued by the State Election Commission on June 28, candidates can file their nomination papers only from 8 am to 4 pm today.

The nomination process started from July 2. So far, till 4 pm on July 4, a total of 32,239 candidates have filed their nomination papers across the state. Now that today is the last day of nomination, there is a lot of enthusiasm and bustle in the election offices. Huge crowds of candidates and their supporters are gathering in many areas.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done from July 7 to 9
After the completion of the nomination process, the nomination papers filed from July 7 to 9 will be duly scrutinized. After this, the candidates will be given a chance to withdraw their names on July 10 and 11, for which the time has been fixed from 10 am to 4 pm.
Panchayat elections will be held in two phases
Let us tell you that this time the Panchayat elections will be held in two phases. The allocation of election symbols for the first phase will be done on July 14. Voting for this phase will be completed on July 24. At the same time, the allocation of symbols for the second phase is scheduled on July 18 and voting on July 28. The counting of votes for both the phases of the election will be done simultaneously on July 31.
