Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Suspecting theft, youths locked a minor in a room, the girl committed suicide

On Saturday, a minor died under suspicious circumstances in a crusher located in Kudkawala in Doiwala, Dehradun. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot. The police have detained four youths from the spot.

Young men locked the minor in a room on suspicion of theft

According to the information received, on Saturday, two girls who came to collect scrap in the plot were stopped by four youths working there on suspicion of stealing iron. During this, one of the girls ran away from the spot, while the other was caught by the youths and made to sit in a room. The youths themselves called the police and told that a girl has been caught stealing and she has been locked in a room.

Teenager commits suicide

After some time, the same youths informed the police that the girl has hanged herself in the room. When the police reached the spot, they broke the door of the room and found the girl hanging from a noose. Considering the incident suspicious, the police have started investigating the matter seriously. At present, the police is examining the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the crusher.

Police gave instructions to seal the crusher

The police have taken the four youths who gave the information into custody. The police have sent a report to the Tehsildar and instructed to seal the crusher as well. It is being told that the relatives of the deceased are residents of Keshavpuri Basti. They have been informed about the incident. At present, the police has started investigating the matter.
