Uttarakhand / Dehradun: There will be traffic on these routes today, take a look at the diversion plan before leaving home
On the occasion of Muharram, a procession will be taken out in Dehradun on 6th July. The traffic pattern will change in many parts of the city from 2 pm. The traffic police has appealed to the people to follow the diversion plan.
Traffic will be available on these routes of Dehradun today
When the procession departs from EC Road, no traffic will come towards EC Road. Traffic will be diverted from Eucalyptus Chowk, Beni Bazaar, Survey Chowk, Rojgar Tiraha.
When the procession passes Survey Chowk, the traffic of Beni Bazaar and EC Road will be normalized. No traffic will be sent from Survey Chowk towards Parade Ground. Traffic coming from Raipur and EC Road will go via Buddha Chowk from Cross Road.
The Moharram procession will go towards Rojgar Tiraha, Convent Tiraha, Lansdown Chowk at Parade Ground. During which no traffic will be sent in relation to the procession. Traffic coming from Rojgar Tiraha will be sent towards Survey Chowk. No traffic will be sent from Manoj Clinic towards Convent Tiraha.
- Vehicles will be sent from Kanak Chowk towards Pacific Tiraha.
- When the procession goes from Lansdowne Chowk to Darshanlal Chowk, the traffic of Survey Chowk will be made normal. No traffic will be sent towards Lansdowne Darshanlal Chowk.
- When the procession goes towards Darshanlal Chowk, Tehsil Chowk, Inamulla Building, no traffic will be sent behind the procession. Traffic will be sent towards Darshanlal Chowk, Buddha Chowk, Doon Chowk, Drona Hotel Cut.
- When the procession ends at Inamulla Building, the entire traffic will be made normal.
- Police made these arrangements for Vikram and other vehicles
- Number 3‑Vikram coming to Racecourse Chowk before the procession reaches Sarve Chowk will return from Racecourse PNB Tiraha towards Araghar T‑Junction.
- Number 5‑and 8‑Vikram will turn back from the railway gate.
- Number 2‑Vikram, Citybus and other commercial vehicles will return from Sahasradhara Crossing.
- Those coming from Premnagar and Cantt will reverse at Vikram Bindal Bridge.

Diversion will be in place for some time as per requirement at turns like Karanpur, Kanak Chowk, Budh Chowk, Ghantaghar, Orient Chowk and Prince Chowk. Vehicles coming from Prince Chowk before Tehsil Chowk will be sent to Doon Chowk via Dron Hotel Cut, while traffic from Doon Chowk towards Tehsil Chowk will be stopped.
