Uttarakhand: Minor’s death case in Doiwala, locals pelted stones on police

The case of the death of a minor girl in Doiwala under suspicious circumstances is now gaining momentum. The angry mob pelted stones at the police on Sunday evening. In which several policemen are reported to be injured. After which the police used hair to control the crowd.

On Saturday, two girls who came to collect junk in the plot were stopped by four youths working there on suspicion of stealing iron. During this, one of the girls ran away from the spot, while the other was caught by the youths and made to sit in a room. The youths themselves called the police and told that a girl was caught stealing and she was locked in a room.

After some time, the same youths informed the police that the girl had hanged herself in the room. When the police reached the spot, they broke the door of the room and found the girl hanging from a noose. Considering the incident suspicious, the police have started investigating the matter seriously. Also, all four youths have been taken into custody. There is anger among the local people since the incident. The villagers are demanding action against the accused.
