Uttarakhand: Rishikesh Mayor and Congress leader had a heated argument on the road, police had to be called

There was a heated argument between Mayor Shambhu Paswan and Congress leader Deepak Jatav in Rishikesh of Dehradun district. The matter had escalated so much that Deepak Jatav and the local people protested against Mayor Shambhu Paswan and even surrounded his vehicle. Deepak Jatav and others did not allow Mayor Shambhu Paswan’s vehicle to go ahead, which made the matter worse.

When the dispute escalated, the police had to be called on the spot. The police somehow dispersed the crowd and took Mayor Shambhu Paswan out from among the protesters. Actually, this entire uproar took place over the road construction work from Parshuram Chowk to Satsang Bhawan Ganganagar. For road construction, JCB has been digging the road continuously for many days.

People say that JCB has dug more than the limit. Due to this, the local people are very angry. Because due to rain, the pits are getting filled with water and people are facing many types of problems.

In this case, Deepak Jatav reached the spot along with the local people and requested Mayor Shambhu Paswan to inspect the spot with a copy of the work order. When Mayor Shambhu Paswan reached the spot, people started creating a ruckus showing the problem.

During this time, people expressed their displeasure over not being shown the copy of the work order. Meanwhile, a heated argument started between Congress leader Deepak Jatav and the Mayor. The matter escalated so much that the police had to be called on the spot in view of security. Somehow the police took Mayor Shambhu Paswan out of the crowd.

Deepak Jatav alleged that work is being done here without a work order and without a tender. Till now, soil worth lakhs of rupees has been lifted and sold. If the Mayor sahab had no doubts, he would have cleared the situation on the spot by showing the paper and calmed the anger of the people. But he did not do so. At the same time, Mayor Shambhu Paswan said that the copy of the work order can be seen by coming to the office. No construction work is being done without tender and without work order.
