Uttarakhand / Dehradun: One arrested with five liters of raw liquor

Sahaspur police station police arrested a person with five liters of raw liquor. Police have registered a case against the accused under the Excise Act. Station in-charge Shankar Singh Bisht said that in view of the Panchayat elections, patrolling and intensive checking campaign is being carried out in the area. On Sunday, the police team was patrolling the area. During this, the team saw a person coming towards them on the way from Ramgarh to Paonta Road. The person had a jerrycan. The station in-charge said that the police personnel called the person near and checked the jerrycan. There was raw liquor in the jerrycan, the quantity of which was found to be five liters. The person told his name as Prem Singh Thapa, resident of Shahpur Kalyanpur. A case has been registered against the accused under the Excise Act.
