The Kanwar Yatra of Shravan month, which is considered a symbol of faith and penance of crores of Shiva devotees, is now being said to be surrounded by well-planned conspiracies. The saint community has expressed serious concern about this. Also, the government has been warned that if necessary steps are not taken in time, the situation may worsen in the coming time.
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Yatindranand Giri Maharaj wrote a letter to the CM
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Yatindranand Giri Maharaj has sent a letter to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in this regard. In which he has said that no compromise will be accepted with the sanctity of the Kanwar route. He has demanded that no non-Hindu should be allowed to serve or sell religious items on the Kanwar Yatra route.
Swami Yatindranand alleges that in the past years, many non-Hindu persons have been involved in suspicious activities through service camps wearing saffron clothes. Some have also been charged with serious charges like hurting faith and making fun of religious traditions. Sant Samaj has now announced to enter the field itself.
Sant Samaj will run verification campaign
Swami Yatindranand Giri said that all the saints and Mahamandaleshwars will together run a verification campaign, under which the religious identity of every service camp and the people associated with it will be checked. If any person is caught, strict action will be taken against him. This verification will run from Haridwar to Neelkanth and other major stops.
Sant Samaj warned the government and administration
Sant Samaj has demanded from the administration that it should also be vigilant in this direction and take concrete steps to stop any such element. It has also been warned in the letter that if the government and administration do not take these conspiracies seriously, then a big controversy can arise in the Kanwar Yatra. This has raised the possibility of deteriorating the law and order situation.
Swami Yatindranand made it clear that now the Sant Samaj will not sit silent. Kanwar Yatra is not a tourist festival, but a spiritual ritual deeply connected to the Sanatan tradition. Any kind of impurity or pretense in it will no longer be tolerated.
