Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday honored three promising Karate Champions of the state in New Delhi. The Chief Minister said that all the talented players being honored are the foundation of the bright future of the state. He said, these players have increased the pride of their parents as well as Uttarakhand with their sporting talent. The three players Anamika, Maitri and Kriyansh have won silver, bronze and bronze medals while representing India in the 9th South Asian Karate Championship held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 5-6 July 2025, the Chief Minister wished these players a bright future and also wished them success in future events.
These players were selected on the basis of excellent performance in the National Karate Championship organized by Karate India Organization in Dehradun. In which Anamika Bisht, daughter of Harish Bisht, District Champawat – Silver Medal, Maitri Baluni, daughter of Kailash Baluni, Doiwala, District Dehradun – Bronze Medal and Kriyansh Kaushik, son of Sumanta Sharma, District Dehradun – Bronze Medal have been received.
