At least 40 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip. These included 17 women and 10 children. The attack took place when US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met for the second time in two days in Washington. The purpose of the talks is to finalize the US-backed ceasefire plan, which can stop the 21-month-long war.

The Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunus, the southern city of Gaza, said that the dead included 10 people of the same family, including three children. The Israeli army did not confirm the attack, but said that it attacked more than 100 targets in the last 24 hours. These include weapons depots, tunnels, rocket launchers and alleged Hamas fighters.
