Uttarakhand: BKTC’s first board meeting concluded, Rs 127 crore budget passed for Badrinath-Kedarnath temple

The first board meeting after the formation of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) was concluded today. During this meeting, a budget of Rs 127 crore was approved for Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham in the financial year 2025-26.
The meeting started with the Aarti of Badri Vishal and Baba Kedar under the chairmanship of committee chairman Hemant Dwivedi. Finance officer Manish Kumar Upreti placed the budget before the temple committee board. The budget was approved after discussion in the meeting.
Committee chairman Hemant Dwivedi said that a budget of Rs 64,2227070 has been provisioned for Badrinath Dham. This has been considered as the proposed income. At the same time, there is a provision of 628770000 budget for Kedarnath Dham. An expenditure of about Rs 40 crore has been shown for Kedarnath Dham in relation to the income. Similarly, an expenditure of Rs 56 crore has been shown in relation to the proposed income for Badrinath Dham.
So many pilgrims have visited so far
Till 8 July 2025, 24,78963 pilgrims have visited Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. Out of which 11,37628 pilgrims have reached Badrinath Dham and 13,41335 pilgrims have reached Kedarnath Dham. So far 14, 32983 registrations have been done for Badrinath. At the same time, 15,49930 registrations were done for Kedarnath Dham.
