Monsoon is raining heavily in UP. Talking about the last 24 hours, 14 people died due to rain and lightning. At the same time, the dams of the state have started overflowing. 9 gates of Matatila Dam have been opened in Lalitpur, while 4 gates of Pathrai Dam and 10 gates of Lahchura Dam have been opened in Jhansi.
2 people died due to lightning in Saraikela-Kharsawan and Lohardaga districts of Jharkhand. At the same time, one person got scorched. All were returning home after working in the field. Due to heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, there are flood conditions in 5 districts including Rewa, Satna and Chhatarpur. Khajuraho received 6.3 inches of rain in 9 hours. 3.4 inches of water fell in Naugaon of Chhatarpur. People were rescued by boat in Chitrakoot. Here 7 gates of Bansagar Dam were opened. 5 gates of Bargi Dam were opened.
Heavy rains occurred in Jhalawar, Dholpur, Karauli and Alwar of Rajasthan on Saturday. More than 4 inches of water fell in Jhalawar. During this, three children drowned, bodies of two have been recovered, while the search for one is ongoing.
