Another gift to the people of Bihar before the elections, Nitish government announced to give 100 units of free electricity to every family

Before the assembly elections to be held in Bihar later this year, the Nitish government is making several big announcements one after the other for the people of the state. After reservation for women, increase in pension amount, now Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced another big gift to the people of Bihar, under which every family in the state will be given 100 units of free electricity.

Before the assembly elections, CM Nitish has started working on a strategy to woo the voters. Many big announcements are being made for the people of Bihar in the election year. In this episode, work is now being done on a plan to give up to 100 units of free electricity to the people of the state. This proposal prepared by the Energy Department has also got the approval of the Finance Department, now the cabinet’s approval is pending. After the cabinet’s approval, lakhs of poor and middle class families will get direct benefit from it.

The scheme will be presented in the cabinet meeting

Soon this scheme will be presented in the cabinet meeting, from where it will be implemented after getting final approval. The government believes that this will reduce the burden of electricity bills of the people and awareness about energy use will also increase. Currently, in the urban areas of the state, consumers are charged Rs 7.57 per unit for the first 50 units and after that a charge of Rs 7.96 is levied. The state government is making necessary financial arrangements to implement the scheme, so that its benefits can be extended to every needy family.

Announcement of reservation for women

Before the elections, the Bihar government has also taken a big and historic step towards empowering women. The Nitish government had announced 35% reservation in government jobs to women native to Bihar. This decision has also been approved by the cabinet. This reservation system will be applicable in the recruitments of various departments of the state government. This step of the government is also being seen as an election strategy, through which an attempt is being made to directly woo women voters.

Every family will get 100 units of free electricity

At the same time, the government has also announced to increase the amount of social security pension from 400 to 1100. Under this announcement, Rs 1227 crore was transferred to the accounts of more than one crore beneficiaries. CM Nitish said that the increased pension amount will start from July. Now the Nitish government has announced to give 100 units of free electricity to every family.
