Uttarakhand: People are paying lakhs of rupees for status symbol, number 0001 sold for 12.5 lakhs

Lakhs of rupees are being bid for VIP numbers for vehicles. People of Doon are ready to pay any price to get the VIP number 0001 which has become a status symbol for them. This time also number 0001 has set a new record. One and a half months ago on 25th May, this number was sold for Rs. 13.77 lakhs and now in the bid for the new series, this number was bought for Rs. 12.30 lakhs. This is the second time when 0001 has crossed the price of Rs. 10 lakhs.

Let us tell you that this time number 0007 was at the second position, which was sold for Rs. 3 lakh 75 thousand. The third position was of number 0009, which was sold for Rs. 3 lakh 33 thousand. The fourth position was of 7777, which was bought in a bid of Rs. 1 lakh 59 thousand. 0005 was at the fifth position which was sold for one lakh 25 thousand rupees, while number 1111 was sold for one lakh 07 thousand rupees. Apart from this, number 7000 was sold for 92 thousand rupees, number 9999 for 89 thousand rupees, number 0002 for 81 thousand rupees, number 0077 for 73 thousand, number 0003 for 67 thousand rupees, number 0999 for 66 thousand rupees, while number 9000 was sold for 52 thousand rupees. The rest of the numbers were sold between Rs 10 thousand and Rs 37 thousand.

In May-2025, a businessman from Doon bought this number for a record price of 13.77 lakhs till date. In April-2024, a businessman from Doon bought number 0001 by spending eight lakh 45 thousand rupees. In August-2022, number 0001 was bought by a businessman from Saharanpur for seven lakh 66 thousand rupees. In June 2023, a businessman bought this number 0001 for Rs 7 lakh 39 thousand. In February 2024, a real estate businessman bought the number 0001 for Rs 7 lakh 22 thousand.

RTO Sandeep Saini has told that this time a total of 28 numbers of (UK 07-HD) series were bid online. He told that for the (UK 07-HD) series, number 0001 got the highest bid this time too, this number was bought by Dayanidhi Sharma for his luxury car for Rs 12.30 lakh. Also, the applicants will now have to deposit the bid amount within the stipulated time limit of 30 days. Also, 0001 and 0786 numbers are such, whose minimum price is one lakh rupees, while the minimum price of the remaining numbers is 25 thousand and 10 thousand rupees. However, for a long time, the number 0786 is not getting even the minimum price.
