Now, except advocates, no one will be able to come to Dehradun court premises wearing black coat, white shirt and black pants. The Bar Association has taken this decision to stop the increasing incidents of cheating with people. Now only advocates will be in advocates’ dress.

Action will be taken on wearing lawyer’s dress

Actually, only advocates will be able to wear white shirt and black pants or coat in Dehradun’s district court campus or chamber block. If any clerk or intern student is seen in the traditional dress of a lawyer, action will be taken against them.

The Dehradun Bar Association has clarified that this will curb people who roam around in the campus wearing the traditional dress of lawyers unauthorizedly. The Bar Association has also issued instructions regarding dress code and identity card for law interns.

Those working as clerks will have to make identity cards

Along with this, all the lawyers have been requested that whoever is working as a clerk with them, his identity card should be made from the Bar Association Dehradun.

Joint Secretary of Dehradun Bar Association, Kapil, said that it has come to the notice of the organization that some people who are not lawyers, but are working in the court premises by showing themselves as lawyers.

Such people are also appearing in the court in lawyer’s dress. There are some people who are working as clerks with an advocate, but are using the dress code of a lawyer in the court premises.

“It is seen that some people come to the court premises wearing the traditional dress of lawyers unauthorizedly. They commit fraud with people. Due to this, the common people were being troubled as well as cheated. Therefore, now only lawyers will come to the premises in lawyers’ dress. The interns coming to the campus have also been clearly told to come in their college dress only.”
