News of health warning on Samosa, Jalebi turned out to be false! PIB Fact Check revealed the truth

You must have seen some posts and media reports on social media in which it is being said that the Ministry of Health of the Government of India has issued a health warning on Indian snacks like samosas, jalebi etc.
It is being claimed in these viral posts that people were given health warnings regarding these food items. In which these snacks were described as unhealthy. When the news went viral, people felt that it is unhealthy. Also, some started thinking that the government is going to ban this traditional Indian street food.
PIB Fact Check told the truth of the claims
In such a situation, PIB Fact Check, the authorized fact check agency of the Government of India, posted on social media and called these news fake. The agency said, “Some media reports have claimed that @MoHFW_INDIA has issued a health warning on food products like samosas, jalebi and laddus. #PIBFactCheck, this claim is #fake.
PIB Fact Check told the truth
Further PIB wrote, “The advisory of the Union Health Ministry does not contain any warning label on the food products sold by the vendors. There are no specific instructions for Indian snacks in it.” PIB clarified that the advisory is just a general guideline regarding food safety. It has nothing to do with any particular Indian dish.
