The drug used in big parties also reached Doon
The supply chain of MDMA, the drug used in big parties, started from Mumbai and reached Uttarakhand. When the main supplier of the gang, Balliram Gupta, was arrested in Mumbai, the accused chose the peaceful valleys of Uttarakhand to prepare and supply drugs. SSP STF Navneet Bhullar said that the kingpin of the gang Kunal Kohli met Bhim Yadav, Monu alias Om Gupta, Balli Ram Gupta and Naveen Nepali living in Nala Supra Mumbai in Mumbai.
A case was registered against the accused
In the year 2024, a case was filed against Monu Gupta and Bhim Yadav under the Narcotics Act in Mumbai, so he brought both of them to his house in Tanakpur Gandakhli to save them from arrest. During this time, he met Naresh Shakri and Roshan Kohli in Tanakpur. Naresh Shakri’s house was secluded in Gandakhli, so everyone together planned to prepare MDMA drugs in Gandakhli.
Monu Gupta had earlier set up a drug manufacturing factory in Banaras but the UP Police raided there. He fled and reached Gandakhli. For the first time Kunal Kohli ordered chemicals from Banaras to prepare the drugs. Once the goods were ready, the supplier Balli Ram Gupta used to take the MDMA to Mumbai.
Fled to Nepal
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police arrested him with MDMA. When other members of the gang came to know about this, they shifted the factory from Gandakhli. After this, they found a quiet place to open the lab again and opened a poultry farm in Suwalkh. Under the guise of poultry farm, they started preparing MDMA. There they prepared about five to six kg of MDMA.
Kunal Kohli, Monu Gupta, Bhim Yadav, Rahul reached Banvasa with the consignment of drugs, where they hid the drugs in the house of their partner Rahul. After the supplier Balli Ram went to jail, the gang members were not able to find a supplier. On June 27, when Mumbai Police raided the Pithoragarh factory and some chemicals and equipment were seized, they fled to Nepal in different vehicles.
