During the monsoon season, citizens are facing a lot of problems on those roads where work has been done to lay sewer, drinking water and gas lines or to lay electricity lines underground. Water is accumulating in the potholes that have emerged on such roads. Also, the drains are also choked with debris due to digging.

However, District Magistrate Savin Bansal has sent Quick Response Team (QRT) to the field to quickly solve the problem of waterlogging and the problem has also been resolved at various places. Despite this, the problem of waterlogging is not being resolved due to the work of laying sewer lines on the road in Banjarawala area.

People are troubled by waterlogging in the potholes on the road due to the works of UUSDA.

During the rain, complaints of waterlogging on the road etc. are continuously being received from Lakshya Enclave of Banjarawala and other surrounding areas. In the sequence of complaints received by QRT, District Magistrate Savin Bansal took a tough stand on this and sought an answer.

The working agency UUSDA said that the road work on the main road under Banjarawala has been completed. 50 percent of the work on the internal roads has been completed.

The QRT of the district administration is taking immediate cognizance of the problem of waterlogging
The District Magistrate directed the officials of the working agency to complete the remaining road repair work within 3 days. Also warned that if this is not done, an FIR will be lodged. In the sequence of the instructions of the District Magistrate, Deputy District Magistrate Justice Kumkum Joshi also visited the area and informed the officials about the District Magistrate’s warning to complete the work within 03 days.

Illegal pipeline connected to sewer line from the drain, choked
There is a limit to injustice. On Doon Hospital Road, where the sewer line was found choked, an illegal pipeline was connected to the sewer line from the drain. Due to which the garbage from the drain kept going into the sewer line and it got choked. When the QRT received a complaint of sewer line being choked, a thorough investigation was conducted at the site.

A large amount of bottles, garbage, debris and other material was also removed from the sewer line, due to which the system became completely functional. Now the team closed the pipeline and cleaned the sewer line and brought it to normal condition. Earlier, the problem of sewer line choke in Prince Chowk and Banjarawala area has also been resolved through QRT.
