LT selected candidates, troubled by the neglect of the education department in Uttarakhand, have been sitting on a dharna outside the Directorate of Education in Nanurkheda, Dehradun for the last four months. The candidates not only knocked the door of the commission but also appealed to the Education Minister and various public representatives to demand appointment, but no concrete initiative has been taken by the government so far.

The candidates sitting on the dharna say that they have been duly selected and are now only waiting for the appointment order, but the government is ignoring them. Earlier they were allowed to sit in the directorate premises, but after some time they were removed from there and now they are forced to sit on dharna under the open sky on the roadside.
Congress leader reached the dharna site
Recently, the candidates had submitted a memorandum to the Congress State President Karan Mahara. After which he himself reached the dharna site today and met the candidates. Mahara said that all these are selected candidates. The government is deliberately not appointing them. This is playing with the future of the youth.
