Uttarakhand: CM held a review meeting of Skill Development and Labor Department, gave instructions to connect the youth with employment

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a review meeting of the Skill Development and Labor Department at the Secretariat on Thursday. In the meeting, the CM directed the officials to design training courses keeping in mind the demand of the industries and future needs.

Instructions given to connect the youth with skill development and employment

CM Dhami instructed the officials to ensure that state-of-the-art machines, labs and smart class rooms are established in the training centers. The CM directed that all the concerned departmental secretaries should work in coordination under the supervision of the Chief Secretary to connect the youth with skill development and employment.

Better training should be arranged for local people: CM

The CM said that 100 percent registration should be done on the e-shram portal. The CM directed the officials to bring all eligible workers under the ambit of social security and add skill education as an optional subject. Along with this, instructions were given to make arrangements for better training for works like plumber, electrician, carpenter, mechanic to the local people in each district.

CM gave instructions to start Skill on Wheels van for remote areas

Chief Minister Dhami instructed the officials to set up special skill centers to increase women labor participation and start Skill on Wheels van for remote areas of the state. Along with this, the CM also directed the self-help groups to provide training in skills like training, production and enterprise operation.
