Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami has announced to give a free hand to the vigilance against corruption. At the same time, the Congress party has described this announcement as a mere show-off effort. Congress state vice-president Suryakant Dhasmana has described this statement of the CM as an attempt to throw dust in the eyes of the public. Meanwhile, former state president of the Congress party Ganesh Godiyal has given his reaction on the arrest and bail of folk singer Pawan Semwal.

Ganesh Godiyal surrounded the government: Ganesh Godiyal said through social media that recently folk singer Pawan Semwal had presented a folk song on the Chief Minister, in which many truths like corruption, unemployment, atrocities against women, disorder in mining and protection to land mafias prevailing in the state were exposed. But as soon as a song came out, the government representatives and the police together arrested the emerging folk artist. This person was searched at night and he was brought to the police station. The folk singer was kept in the police station overnight.

Raised the case of folk singer Pawan Semwal: Semwal was forced to delete the so-called song from social media. He raised the question that why did this situation arise. Ganesh Godiyal said that if any artist is raising his voice through his writing and art, then efforts are being made to suppress his voice. It is everyone’s right to stop the government going against democratic values from doing so. Ganesh Godiyal said that this is proof of the fact that in the panchayat elections going on in the state for the last 1 month, the government has had to face defeat in the court many times. In such a situation, it is natural that questions are being raised continuously on the intentions of the government.

Half of the ministers and officers of BJP would have been behind bars: At the same time, Congress has also retaliated to the statement of Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami giving free hand to the Vigilance to take action. Congress State Vice President (Organization Administration) Suryakant Dhasmana took a dig at why the Dhami government had tied the hands of the Vigilance for the last eight and a half years. He said that in these eight and a half years, overrating was continuously happening at liquor shops, but no vigilance investigation was done. Similarly, mining mafias dominated the state, but the vigilance did not take any action against them either. He said that today the entire state is involved in corruption. If the Dhami government had given a free hand to the vigilance earlier in its tenure, then half of the BJP ministers, secretaries and officers would have been behind bars for being involved in corruption.
