These taxis will be the world’s first flying taxis and four people will be able to sit in them at a time. These air taxis will be equipped with six propellers and four battery packs. Their speed will be 300 kilometers per hour and they will be able to fly for about 160 kilometers on a single charge. Isn’t it an amazing thing?

Because their speed will be very fast, your journey will also be completed in very less time. For example, the journey from Dubai International Airport to Palm Jumeirah, which usually takes 45 minutes by road, the same journey will be completed in just 10–12 minutes by flying taxi.

Another big thing is that the taxis will be completely electric, which means it will not cause any harm to the environment. At the same time, the noise will also be reduced considerably, only 45 decibels, which is much less than a helicopter. Because of this, these taxis will help in protecting the environment from pollution.

There is nothing to fear! These taxis will be run by automatic systems and artificial intelligence (AI). However, keeping in mind the safety of the people, initially they will be monitored by humans.

It will be called Vertiport

The places from where these flying taxis will operate in Dubai will be called “Vertiport”. They will connect four places, including Dubai International Airport, Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah. Each Vertiport will have four taxi stands and two landing areas, which will be connected to the metro station.
