Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is in full form. Through fast-paced decisions, back-to-back departmental reviews and strict focus on effective implementation of schemes, he has made it clear that the state government is working with full force towards speed, transparency and result-based governance. The only focus of the government is to provide good governance to the public.

CM Dhami reviewed 7 departments in two days

For the last two days, CM Dhami has been holding back-to-back meetings and at the center of these meetings are the schemes which Chief Minister Dhami himself has given the status of ‘gamechanger schemes’. These schemes are running under his supervision and from time to time he himself reviews their progress. The Chief Minister believes that the successful implementation of these schemes can change the future of Uttarakhand.

Meetings with these departments

The departments with which CM Dhami held meetings in two days included Public Works Department, Transport, Industries, Civil Aviation, Information Technology, Urban Development and Rural Development Department. Regarding the major schemes of these departments, CM Dhami demanded a time-bound action plan from the officials and made it clear that “now is the time to deliver results on the ground, not just to scrutinize files.

CM Dhami warned the officials

The CM said that good governance is not a slogan, but the work culture of his government. He warned the officials that if the pace of the schemes is slow or the benefits do not reach the public, then responsibility will be fixed. The CM directed that technology should also be given priority in monitoring the schemes. Best practices and innovation should be adopted and the officers themselves should visit the field and communicate directly with the public.

CM is giving concrete form to PM Modi’s vision

This activism of CM Dhami is deeply connected to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he described this decade of the 21st century as ‘Uttarakhand’s Decade’. The focus of the Chief Minister is that Uttarakhand should emerge as a role model at the national level in the field of development, investment, tourism and infrastructure. CM’s rapid meetings, clear guidelines and time-bound targets have proved this. That now the politics of implementation will run in Uttarakhand, not of announcements.
