Uttarakhand three-tier Panchayat elections: Election noise of the first phase has stopped, door to door campaign will be done, voting on 24th

Voting for the first phase of Uttarakhand three-tier Panchayat elections is to be held on 24th July. In the first phase, voting is to be held in 49 development blocks. In such a situation, the noise of election campaign stopped 48 hours before the election i.e. today on 22nd July at 5 pm. After this, the candidates will be able to do only door to door campaigning before voting.

Voting for the first phase of Panchayat elections is to be held on Thursday. In the first phase, voting is to be held in 26 development blocks of 6 districts of Garhwal division and 23 development blocks of 6 districts of Kumaon division. Under the Election Commission, the noise of the first phase of voting stopped today on Tuesday at 5 pm. After this, the candidates can only do door to door campaigning. However, this campaign continues outside the polling booth on the day of voting till the time of voting ends i.e. 5 pm.

Polling parties leave: After this, the second phase of voting will be held on 28th July. After which the counting of votes will take place on 31st July and after that the final result will be declared. Polling parties started leaving for the first phase of voting from Monday itself. Polling parties from remote areas left today as well. While polling parties from other areas will leave tomorrow.

In the first phase, polling will be held in these 49 development blocks: Takula, Dhauladevi, Tadikhet, Bhainsiachhana, Lamgara, Chaukhutia, Khatima, Sitarganj, Gadarpur, Bazpur, Lohaghat, Pati, Dharchula, Didihat, Munsiyari, Kanalichhina, Betalghat, Okhalkanda, Ramgarh, Dhari, Bageshwar, Garud, Kapkot, Mori, Purola, Naugaon, Dewal, Tharali, Jyotirmath, Narayanbagh, Jaunpur, Pratapnagar, Jakhnidhar, Tholdahar, Bhilangana, Chakrata, Kalsi, Vikasnagar, Khirsu, Pabau, Thalisain, Nainidanda, Bironkhal, Rikhnikhal, Ekeshwar, Pokhra, Ukhimath, Jakholi and Agastyamuni.

More than 47 lakh voters: According to the information received from the Election Commission, there are a total of 47 lakh 77 thousand 72 voters in this Panchayat election. Which includes 24 thousand 65 thousand 702 male voters and 23 lakh 10 thousand 996 female voters, besides 374 other voters. 95 thousand 909 officers and employees have been deployed for the Panchayat elections. In which 11 thousand 849 presiding officers, 47 thousand 910 polling officers, 35 thousand 700 security personnel and 450 other officers have been deployed at the polling station.

More than 32 thousand candidates: According to the Election Commission, 32 thousand 580 candidates are in the fray in the Panchayat elections 2025. In which now 1,587 candidates are in the fray for 350 posts of district panchayat member, 9,194 candidates for 2,732 posts of area panchayat member, 17 thousand 564 candidates for 6,119 posts of village head and 4,235 candidates for 1,881 posts of village panchayat member. At the same time, 8 candidates of district panchayat member, 240 candidates of area panchayat member, 1,361 candidates of village head and 20 thousand 820 candidates of village panchayat member have been elected unopposed.

Polling parties leave in Chamoli: As part of the process of first phase of voting for the three-tier panchayat elections to be held on July 24, 89 polling parties left from Jyotirmath, Narayanbagh, Tharali and Dewal blocks of Chamoli district on Tuesday. While the remaining 164 polling parties will leave for polling stations on Wednesday. Voting will be held at a total of 258 polling stations on July 24 for the first phase in Chamoli.

Polling parties leave for Uttarkashi: In the first phase for the three-tier panchayat, voting will be held on Thursday in three development blocks of Uttarkashi district, Naugaon, Purola and Mori. On Tuesday, 81 polling parties left for polling booths located in remote areas of the three development blocks. Voting will be conducted at 272 polling booths under Naugaon, Purola and Mori development blocks on July 24. While polling parties for the remaining polling booths will be sent on July 23.
