Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazim Gharibabadi said on Thursday that Iran is ready to negotiate with the US on its nuclear program, but this will happen only if it takes meaningful steps to restore trust. Iran is scheduled to meet with Britain, France and Germany and the European Union’s Deputy Foreign Policy Commissioner in Istanbul on Friday. This will be the first talks after the 12-day war between Iran and Israel in June. During this war, US bombers targeted Iran’s nuclear installations.

What did Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister say

Gharibabadi said in a social media post that to join the talks, Iran is seeking to maintain ‘several key principles’. He said that these include “restoring Iran’s confidence, avoiding using the talks as a platform for a hidden agenda such as military action, respecting Iran’s rights under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and lifting sanctions.

‘Iran will not give up nuclear program’

Meanwhile, let us also tell you here that, recently Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that despite the “serious” damage to nuclear bases after the US attacks last month, Iran has no plans to give up its nuclear program. Iran’s uranium enrichment program will continue.

Israel has warned

Recently, Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Iran. Katz had said that Iran will have to return uranium enriched to dangerous levels. He had said that the US and Israel have given Iran the message that it will have to hand over its enriched uranium. It is believed that Iran had enriched its uranium up to 60 percent. If this level had reached 90 percent, Iran would have been able to make a nuclear bomb.
