The fourth Test match is being played between India and England. In such a situation, on the first day of the fourth Test, the team’s best batsman Rishabh Pant got injured while batting. In the 68th over of the innings, fast bowler Chris Woakes was bowling for England.

Rishabh Pant tried to play a reverse sweep on Chris’s ball. But he failed and the ball went straight and hit the little finger of his right foot. In the middle of the field, Pant called the medical team and physio for the increasing pain.

When the pain did not go away, he decided to retire hurt. When Pant went out, he was batting on 37 runs. During this time the team’s score was 212 runs for three wickets.

Giving an update on Pant’s injury, BCCI issued a statement saying, “Rishabh Pant suffered an injury to his right leg while batting on the first day of the Manchester Test. He was taken from the stadium for a scan. The BCCI medical team is monitoring his progress.” Till the time of writing the news, the scan report of Pant’s injury has not been shared by the BCCI.
