UP government will give 1600 crores to Uttarakhand state as pension share, order issued, Dhami expressed gratitude

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed happiness over the payment of Rs. 1600 crore as pension share to Uttarakhand state by the Government of Uttar Pradesh for the period of financial years 2021-22 and 2022-23 and thanked the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath. The Chief Minister has said that due to better coordination and continuous dialogue between the two states, pending issues of assets and liabilities are being resolved expeditiously.
It is noteworthy that for the apportionment of expenditure on pension in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the financial years 2021-22 and 2022-23, the Accountant General, Uttar Pradesh had assessed the liability of Rs. 952.26 crore for the year 2021-22 and Rs. 1309.00 crore for the period 2022-23 on the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The total amount calculated for the said two financial years on pension expenditure is Rs. In relation to the liability of Rs 2261.26 crore, the Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order to transfer the amount of Rs 1600 crore to the Uttarakhand government through inter-state adjustment through the Reserve Bank of India in the month of July 2025.
