Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary took the meeting of the high powered committee regarding the schemes funded by Rural Infrastructure Development Fund under NABARD

A meeting of the high powered committee was held in the secretariat on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan regarding the schemes funded by the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund under NABARD. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that the departments should provide the utilization certificate soon. He said that the departments should get the funds withdrawn so that the allocation of total funds to the state can be increased.

The Chief Secretary directed the officials of NABARD and the departments to work towards increasing the budget of NABARD to Rs 1200 crore in the coming years. He said that we all need to find the source of funds. He said that NABARD and the concerned departments should explore the possibilities of funds for chain link fencing in the state.

The Chief Secretary directed all the departments to provide their proposals by the end of August. He has directed the departments to increase the speed of the project by constantly monitoring the slow-moving projects. He also talked about getting the disbursement and reimbursement of various projects done soon. He also directed NABARD to remove the flaws in their portal immediately so that the department can update the portal.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Special Principal Secretary Amit Sinha, Secretary Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, C. Ravishankar, Additional Secretary Himanshu Khurana, Manmohan Mainali and other senior officers were present.
