Uttarakhand: Crores of rupees scam in the name of eco tourism in Munsiyari, Forest Department demands investigation from CBI and ED
Another scam has come to light in Uttarakhand. Crores of rupees have been looted in the name of eco tourism in Munsiyari, Pithoragarh. It is alleged that a huge financial fraud of Rs 1.63 crore has been committed in the name of eco hut construction.

According to the information received, large scale irregularities have come to light in the construction of these eco huts being built to promote eco tourism in Munsiyari (eco hurt scam munsiyari). It is alleged that the funds released for the project were misused and quality standards were openly ignored in the works.
Forest department demanded investigation from CBI and ED
The Forest Department has demanded investigation from CBI and ED in view of the seriousness of the matter. IFA officer Dr. Vinay Bhargava has been accused of financial irregularities in the scam. It is alleged that the amount allocated for the construction of eco huts under his supervision was not used properly and financial manipulation was done in the name of tourism promotion.
