Uttarakhand: Dehradun gets another gift of elevated road, now there will be no traffic jam in the capital

There is good news for the people of Dehradun. To get rid of the increasing traffic in Doon, another elevated road is going to be constructed in the city. This elevated road (Asharodi to Mohkampur elevated road) is proposed from Asharodi to Mohkampur. After its construction, the people of Dehradun as well as the people coming from other states will get convenience.

Elevated road will be constructed from Asharodi to Mohkampur

Dehradun is going to get the gift of another elevated road. In fact, the Dhami government has taken this decision in view of the increasing pressure of jam in the capital Dehradun. The exercise to construct a 12 km long elevated road from Asharodi to Mohkampur has started. The alignment work for the construction of the elevated road has also been completed. Along with this, NHAI has also prepared the DPR.

DPR sent to the central government

The state government has sent the prepared DPR to the central government. After the approval of the proposal, the work of land acquisition will also start. However, earlier the state government was preparing to build it through the Public Works Department. But considering the national importance of the project, it has been handed over to the National Highway Authority (NHAI).

Reaching Mussoorie from Mohkampur will be easy

Let us tell you that an elevated road will be constructed from Asharodi to Mohkampur at a total cost of 15 thousand crores. The total length of this road will be 12 kilometers. For information, let us tell you that in future, roads of many places including Kargi Chowk and Rispana of Doon will be connected to the elevated road. Asharodi-Mohkampur elevated road will also be connected to Delhi-Dehradun Express. In such a situation, reaching Mussoorie from Mohkampur will also become easy.

Two more elevated roads are to be constructed in Dehradun

For information, let us tell you that before this, two more elevated roads are being constructed in Dehradun. Which is to be built on Rispana and Bindal river. The total cost of the elevated road to be built on Rispana and Bindal river is 6100 crores. The total length of the road to be built on Rispana river is 11 kilometers. While the length of the road to be built on Bindal is 15 kilometers. The process of land acquisition for the construction of this project has started.

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway ready

At the same time, the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is also ready in the state. With its opening, the journey between Delhi and Dehradun will be completed in just two and a half to three hours. It is estimated that after the start of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, the traffic pressure in Dehradun will increase manifold.
