MLA Umesh Kumar made serious allegations against Trivendra Singh Rawat
MLA Umesh Kumar alleged that the wife of former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat’s industrial advisor K S Panwar was the director in a company named “Social Mutual Benefit Nidhi Limited” from 2017 to 2020. During this time, black money was legalized in fixed deposit and RD scheme through about 50 thousand fake accounts. He alleged that many accounts were in the name of dead persons or children. The persons concerned were not aware of them.
Efforts made to destroy evidence
The MLA said that the government has handed over the investigation of this matter to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). Despite this, the investigation is being suppressed. Umesh Kumar has also raised questions on the efforts to destroy evidence in the case. The MLA said that despite the formation of STF on the recommendation of RBI, the files and evidence related to the company were made to disappear. The MLA said that the government is trying to save the accused in the 200 crore money laundering case. The MLA warned that if a fair investigation is not conducted, he will go to the High Court and demand an investigation by ED or CBI.
