During this time, there were several weeks of messaging and video calls between the two. After a month, both decided to meet. Both met at a coffee shop. After which the woman suggested going to the room and having some drinks. But the boy did not know that his date would turn into a nightmare.
Such fraud happened with a tech worker in Bengaluru
Actually this whole case is of Bengaluru. According to the information received, both were sitting in the room and talking. Then four men enter the room. After which they accuse them of being involved in a drug party. Along with this, they also start searching the room by threatening to call the police.
They took out packets of white powder from the woman’s bag and claimed that these are drugs. After which the woman starts crying and runs away to another room. She also threatens to kill herself. In such a situation, those unknown people demanded 15 lakh rupees from the tech worker. On which he also gave them two lakh rupees.
Demand for 15 lakh rupees
Three days after this incident, the tech worker went to the police and lodged a complaint about the matter. After the complaint of the youth, the police exposed the debt-extortion module being run by a woman and a man.
The police said that the entire plan from contacting the tech worker to extorting two lakh rupees was already made. The woman was also a part of this gang. The powder found from her bag was baking soda. The police have arrested about six people in this case.
