Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker and Kotdwar MLA Ritu Khanduri Bhushan met Union Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav in New Delhi on Saturday. During this, they discussed three important issues related to Kotdwar assembly constituency.

MLA Ritu Khanduri Bhushan said that the proposed jungle safari and bird sanctuary will be an important step towards giving a new identity to the rich forest area, biodiversity and natural wealth of Kotdwar. The various bird and wildlife species found here will attract nature lovers, bird experts and adventure tourists from all over the country. Along with this, it will also expand self-employment and tourism based opportunities for the local youth.

Apart from this, the demand for early completion of Laldhang-Chillarkhal road was also prominently placed by the MLA. The MLA said that this road will make it easy and smooth for the people of Kotdwar to travel to major cities like Haridwar and Dehradun, as well as accelerate regional development. Khanduri said that this is an important step towards making Kotdwar a self-reliant, green and tourist-friendly area, which will empower both the local economy and nature conservation equally.
Assurance given to fulfill the demands of the MLA
Union Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav seriously accepted the possibilities of all the proposals of the MLA. He also assured to give priority to eco-tourism and give necessary guidelines to the concerned departments.
