Uttarakhand: Panchayat elections: BJP got a historic victory, but the families of party leaders did not get the blessings of the people

The results of the Panchayat elections held in Uttarakhand have presented an interesting picture. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party may have registered a historic victory in the state, but the families of the party leaders have not received the blessings of the people.
The families of the party leaders did not receive the blessings of the people
Let us tell you that the results were disappointing for the party in those places where the BJP had fielded the daughters-in-law, sons and wives of the stalwarts. Rohit Arya, son of Nainital MLA Sarita Arya, Karan, son of Salt MLA Mahesh Jeena, Rajni Bhandari, wife of former Badrinath MLA Rajendra Bhandari, also did not receive the blessings of the people.
Many famous faces lost in the Panchayat elections
Many famous faces including Sushmita Fartyal, daughter of former Lohaghat MLA Puran Singh Fartyal, wife of Lansdowne MLA Dilip Rawat, Nainital District Panchayat President Bela Tolia, daughter-in-law of Bhimtal MLA Ram Singh Kaida and Chamoli BJP District President Gajpal Bhartwal lost.
Take a look at the old data
However, despite these shocks, the election results hold great significance for the BJP. If we look at the old figures, in 2019 the party had won 200 seats which included Haridwar, whereas this time BJP has won 216 seats excluding Haridwar. If 44 seats of Haridwar are added, then the total figure reaches 260. BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt has called it the biggest victory of the Dhami government in panchayats so far.
