Uttarakhand: CM met the disaster affected people in Pauri, wiped tears from every eye, said the government is with every shoulder

Rain is wreaking havoc in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand these days. CM Dhami on Thursday conducted a field inspection of the disaster-affected areas in Naitha Bazaar, Sainji village and Bankura area of Pauri Garhwal.
During the inspection, Chief Minister Dhami took stock of the situation of damage in Pauri. During this, he met the affected citizens, mothers and sisters living in disaster relief camps and inquired about their well-being.
The local people affected by the disaster became emotional after seeing CM Dhami. The CM consoled the villagers. The CM said that in this difficult time of disaster, I stand with you as your son and brother.
The CM has directed the district administration to provide immediate relief to the affected and restore essential services like drinking water, electricity, road and communication soon.
The Chief Minister has instructed the District Magistrate of Pauri to quickly assess the damage to houses, crops and animals and send the report to the government, so that there is no delay in the relief process.
Financial assistance given to disaster affected
During the visit to the disaster affected area, CM Dhami approved financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand per building owner from the State Disaster Relief Fund to 15 families and building owners of Saanji village, which were completely damaged by the disaster, which was provided to the concerned families through cheque.
At the same time, financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh per deceased was provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the family members of Asha Devi, wife of Prem Singh, who lost her life due to the disaster in village Buransi. At the same time, Keshar Singh, son of Amar Singh of Buransi, was given assistance of Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand when his residential building was completely damaged.
