Jammu Kashmir: Terrorist hideout destroyed in Kupwara forest, Army recovered rocket launcher and AK-47

Indian Army’s 2 Rajput unit in collaboration with Handwara police on Saturday morning launched a search operation in the dense forest of Drud near Hafruda. The joint security forces detected a terrorist hideout and recovered a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher, AK-47 and pistol bullets along with various food items.
Sources said that this successful operation foiled attempts to disrupt peace in the area. They attributed this success to the relentless efforts of the security forces in countering terrorist activities. The terrorist hideout was built inside the dense forest in Handwara. A rocket launcher was also found. No casualties were reported in this operation. The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police reaffirmed their resolve to ensure the security of the area and the safety of its residents.
