In Vadner Dumala village of Nashik district, a tragic incident on the day of Rakshabandhan left the entire village inconsolable. On the morning of the festival, when sisters were celebrating by tying rakhi on their brothers’ wrists, at the same time a 9-year-old girl was tying rakhi on the hand of her 3-year-old dead brother. Whoever saw this incident started crying.
Actually, this incident happened on Friday night, a day before Rakshabandhan. Ayush Bhagat, a 3-year-old child of the Bhagat family of the village, was playing in front of his house, when suddenly a leopard came and pounced on him and took him away. The family and villagers immediately started searching, but after some time Ayush’s body was found near the house. This incident created chaos in the family.
Saturday morning was the festival of Rakshabandhan. Ayush’s sister, who was happy till yesterday in preparing to tie rakhi to her brother, was now crying. The death of the child shocked the entire family. Preparations for the last rites began. When people started taking the child’s body for cremation, it was time to tie Rakhi.
Ayush’s 9-year-old sister was crying continuously and was seeing her brother for the last time. The people of the village also could not hold back their tears after seeing this heart-wrenching scene.
