According to the forecast issued by the Director of Meteorological Department Vikram Singh, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Dehradun, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on August 10. While there is a possibility of heavy rain in some areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts. In view of which a yellow alert has been issued.

According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning in Dehradun, where the maximum temperature is likely to be around 30 degrees and the minimum 25 degrees. At the same time, there will be a risk of moderate rain, thunder and lightning in Haridwar.

There is a possibility of thunder and lightning along with light rain in Nainital and Almora. Also, there will be a danger of landslides on the slopes. According to meteorologists, there will be a danger of landslides and overflowing of rivers and streams in many sensitive hilly areas.
