Uttarakhand: Garhwal Commissioner in Uttarkashi, reached the disaster control room and reviewed the relief and rescue operations

After the disaster in Harshil Dharali, the administration is making continuous efforts to improve the arrangements. During this, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey and Inspector General of Police Rajiv Swaroop reached the disaster control room and reviewed the ongoing work to deal with the disaster.
Garhwal Commissioner reviewed relief and rescue operations
All necessary facilities are being provided by the government to the affected people in Dharali Harshil. Distribution of all essential items including dry ration to the affected people is continuing. Along with this, all arrangements from food grains to health and safe stay have been ensured for the affected people.
Electricity supply restored in affected areas
Electricity supply has also been restored in the affected areas by the Electricity Department by running a campaign on a war footing. While communication connectivity has already been restored. Work on road connectivity is also going on at a war footing. To ensure access to the disaster affected areas, the construction of Limchyagad Valley Bridge near Ganganai is also in its final stage.
Instructions given to rescue teams to remain alert
The Garhwal Commissioner reviewed all the necessary arrangements including restoration, health, electricity, water and food supply in the disaster affected area. Also, instructions were given to NDRF, SDRF and other rescue teams to remain alert. Also, instructions were given to the concerned agencies to ensure availability of adequate stock of relief material and speed up the distribution of relief and rescue material in the affected areas.
