Uttarakhand: They were attached to DM office for relief in Uttarkashi’s Dharali disaster, order issued

In view of the natural disaster in Dharali, Uttarkashi, Gaurav Chatwal PCS-2023 has been attached to the District Magistrate Uttarkashi office with immediate effect.
He has been appointed DM for relief in Dharali disaster of Uttarkashi
An order has been issued in this regard by the government. In which Gaurav Chatwal has been directed to take charge in the office of District Magistrate Uttarkashi for 10 days.

Many people missing in Dharali accident, magistrate ordered investigation
On August 5, cloudburst (Uttarkashi Cloudburst) in Dharali village of Uttarkashi caused flood in Kheerganga. Which caused devastation in the entire area. Many hotels and houses were buried under the rubble. While many people went missing. Since the incident, rescue operations are going on to search for people buried under the rubble.
Disaster came in Dharali on August 5
Hardly anyone will be able to forget the day of August 5. The water level in Kheerganga increased due to sudden cloudburst at 1:40 pm. Due to which many hotels, residential buildings were damaged and many people went missing. According to the information received from the Emergency Operations Center, there is a possibility of loss of life of many people in the incident and there has been heavy damage to property.
Sub-District Magistrate Bhatwadi appointed as Magistrate Investigation Officer
In view of the seriousness of the matter, the district administration has appointed Sub-District Magistrate Bhatwadi as Magistrate Investigation Officer. The order said that the investigating officer will provide detailed information within a week, including the cause of the incident, details of dead/missing and injured persons, names and addresses of their relatives, affected livestock, damage to private properties, status of relief and rescue operations.
