Uttarakhand: 10th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo Proceedings Release Ceremony, Dhami said – State government is committed to promote Ayurveda

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the state government is committed to promote Ayurveda in the state. For this, one model AYUSH village is being developed in each district. Along with this, new yoga and wellness centers are also being developed.
Addressing the proceedings release ceremony of the 10th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo at a hotel in Old Rajpur on Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it is a matter of great pride for us that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand was successful in organizing the 10th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo, as well as now we are releasing the proceedings to cherish the memories and achievements of that historic event. He said that this is not just a document but the essence of knowledge, experience and deep deliberation, which will play an important role in setting the direction of research, policy-making and public health in the field of Ayurveda in the coming years.
The Chief Minister said that through the organization of World Ayurveda Congress and Expo Mart, we have been successful in giving the message not only in India but also in different countries of the world that how good health can be achieved through Ayurveda.
Along with this, we were also successful in widely conveying the message of “Sarve Santu Niramaya” told by our Sanatan Hindu culture to the world.
While praising the “Vigyan Vidyarthi Manthan” of Vigyan Bharti, the Chief Minister said that this is not only a strong initiative to develop curiosity towards science, research tendency and innovation capability in our youth, but is also a comprehensive campaign to make the future generation curious, aware and responsible citizens.
The Chief Minister said that Ayurveda is such a unique medical system of the world which has been ensuring the health of human civilization since ancient times. Ayurveda not only cures external diseases but also internal disorders related to our intellect and our senses. Due to this holistic approach of Ayurveda, its acceptance is continuously increasing today. Ayurveda is the most valuable gift given to humanity.
The Chief Minister said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has been the land of wisdom of Ayurveda and medicinal wealth since ancient times. Medicinal herbs found in our mountainous region have played an important role in establishing Ayurveda as the basic element of health. Therefore This type of event is very important for our state. He said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that the Ministry of AYUSH formed under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving a new identity to our ancient science at the global level today. Various programs like ‘National AYUSH Mission’ and ‘Prakriti Pariksha Abhiyan’ run by the Central Government are playing an important role in establishing health from cities to villages today.
With the guidance and cooperation of the Prime Minister, the state government is also continuously working to promote Ayurveda in the state. He said that at present, more than 300 AYUSH based “Ayushman Arogya Kendras” are being operated within the state. AYUSH consultation is being provided by more than 70 experts through the e-Sanjeevani portal. The state government is setting up 50-bed and 10-bed AYUSH hospitals in each district. Also, one model AYUSH village is being developed in each district. Along with this, the state government has implemented the “Uttarakhand AYUSH Policy” in the state. By implementing this, drug manufacturing, wellness, education, research and production of medicinal plants are being accelerated. Now the state government is committed to start AYUSH tele-consultation as well as establish 50 new yoga and wellness centers in the coming years. The state government has requested the Ministry of AYUSH to establish All India Institute of Ayurveda in Uttarakhand, which will prove to be a milestone in the field of Ayurveda education and research in Uttarakhand.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister released the coffee table book of the AYUSH department and the poster of Vigyan Bharti’s Vigyan Vidyarthi Manthan competition, as well as honored many people for promoting Ayurveda.
Earlier, National Organization Minister of Vigyan Bharti Dr. Shiv Kumar presented the detailed outline of the event. Before the main event, silence was also observed for the citizens who died in the Dharali disaster.
On this occasion, Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, State Women Commission President Mrs. Kusum Kandwal, RSS State Pracharak Dr. Shailendra, Secretary Deependra Chaudhary, Director AYUSH Vijay Jogdande, Prof. Anoop Thakkar, Chandrasekhar Nayyar, Dr. V.K. Ashok, Prof. K.D. Purohit along with various other dignitaries attended the event.
