‘Asim Munir is Osama in a suit’, Pentagon official calls Pakistan a ‘rogue country’; says ban visas

Former Pentagon official Michael Rubin has strongly criticized Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir’s recent nuclear-related statements. He has said that Pakistan is behaving like a ‘rogue country’ after Munir’s threatening remarks on American soil.
Describing Pakistan’s behavior as completely unacceptable, Michael Rubin compared the army chief’s statements to earlier statements made by terrorist organization ISIS and Osama bin Laden. He said, ‘Americans look at terrorism through the prism of complaint. They do not understand the ideological basis of many terrorists. Asim Munir is Osama bin Laden in a suit.’
Can Pakistan fulfill the responsibility of being a country?
Let us tell you that the controversy has increased after Munir’s remarks made in America, in which he allegedly threatened that if Pakistan’s existence is in danger, it will destroy half the world along with itself.
These remarks were reportedly made during a meeting with American military officials in Tampa, Florida. West Asia analyst Michael Rubin said that this behavior of Pakistan has raised questions in the minds of many people whether it can fulfill the responsibilities of being a nation. Field Marshal Munir’s statement is reminiscent of what has been heard from the terrorist organization Islamic State.
He called for immediate diplomatic action against Pakistan. This includes stripping Pakistan of its status as a major non-NATO ally and possibly declaring it a state sponsor of terrorism. He also suggested that General Munir should be declared persona non grata and a ban should be imposed on granting him a US visa.

In his response to the X post, Owaisi said,
“The threats and language of the Pakistani Army Chief against India are reprehensible. He did all this from US soil, which has worsened the situation. This requires a political response from the Modi government, not just a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs.”
