Uttarakhand: Initiative to develop research tendency and innovation capability, message reaches the world
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, to promote Ayurveda in the state, one model Ayush village will be built in each district. Along with this, new yoga and wellness centers are also being developed. On Monday, at a hotel in Old Rajpur, the Chief Minister released the document based on the achievement of the 10th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo held in Dehradun last year, the coffee table book of the AYUSH department and the poster of Vigyan Bharti’s Vigyan Vidyarthi Manthan competition.
The CM said, the documents of the World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo will play an important role in determining the direction of research, policy-making and public health in the field of Ayurveda in the coming years. Through the organization of the World Ayurveda Congress and Expo Mart, we have been successful in giving the message not only in India but also in various countries of the world that excellent health can be achieved through Ayurveda. The Chief Minister praised Vigyan Bharti’s Vigyan Vidyarthi Manthan and said that it is a comprehensive campaign to make the young generation curious, aware and responsible citizens with a strong initiative to develop curiosity towards science, research tendency and innovation capability among the youth. Uttarakhand has been the land of wisdom of Ayurveda and medicinal wealth since ancient times. Vigyan Bharti’s National Organization Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar gave information about the World Ayurveda Congress.
Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, State Women Commission President Kusum Kandwal, RSS State Pracharak Dr. Shailendra, Secretary AYUSH Deependra Chaudhary, Director Ayurveda Vijay Jogdande, Prof. Anoop Thakkar, Chandrashekhar Nayyar, Dr. VK Ashok, Prof. KD Purohit along with various dignitaries participated in the program.
Operation of more than 300 Ayushman Arogya Kendras
The CM said, with the guidance and support of the Prime Minister, the state government is also continuously working for the promotion of Ayurveda in the state. At present, more than 300 Ayush-based Ayushman Arogya Kendras are being operated within the state. Ayush consultation is being provided by more than 70 experts through the e-Sanjeevani portal. 50-bed and 10-bed Ayush hospitals are being established in each district. The state government has implemented the Ayush policy and promoted drug manufacturing, wellness, education, research and production of medicinal plants. In the coming years, 50 new yoga and wellness centers will be established along with starting Ayush tele-consultation.
Two minutes silence on Dharali disaster
In the program, first of all, tribute was paid by observing two minutes of silence for the people who died in the terrible disaster in Dharali village of Uttarkashi district.
