BJP has an upper hand in Uttarakhand Panchayat elections, 5 district panchayat presidents and 16 block pramukhs elected unopposed, elections for the remaining seats tomorrow

After the completion of the elections of the members of the Uttarakhand three-tier Gram Pradhan along with the area and district panchayats, the election process of the district panchayat president and development block (block) chiefs has started from Monday. After the nomination ended on Tuesday, five district panchayat presidents and sixteen block chiefs supported by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were elected unopposed. A total of twelve (12) district panchayat presidents and eighty-nine (89) block chiefs are being elected in the state. Voting for the remaining seats will be held on August 14 till 2 pm, while the nominations will be announced on the same day.
BJP State President and MP Mahendra Bhatt has congratulated the district panchayat and block chiefs elected unopposed. Bhatt said that these unopposed victories have once again put the public’s seal of approval on the development work being done in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Due to public welfare policies, quick decision-making ability and transparent governance, the trust in BJP has strengthened in every village today. He said that this victory is a proof of the trust of the people, which has been built by seeing the development journey of the Dhami government and its dedication towards the people.
