Why does Turkey get frequent earthquakes?
There are two main reasons for frequent earthquakes in Turkey. The first reason is that Turkey is located on the Anatolian plate, Eurasian plate and Arabian plate. If there is friction in any of the three plates, then earthquake tremors are felt in Turkey.
Currently 2 fault lines are active in Turkey. The first fault line among these is North Anatolian Fault and the second is East Anatolian Fault. Due to these two, frequent earthquake tremors are felt in Turkey.
